Specialists to discuss Scoliosis
What helps scoliosis if you have it? What can make it worse? Shriners Hospitals for Children — Honolulu’s spine team aims to answer these questions, plus more, during a virtual Scoliosis Information Night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Teens and parents are encouraged to attend the online workshop to learn more scoliosis — a sideways curvature of the spine that occurs most often during the growth spurt just before puberty.
Presentations begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by an open Q&A forum with the Shriners Honolulu spine team. The workshop is anticipated to end by 7 p.m.
Registration is free and open to all members of the public; you do not need to be a Shriners Hospitals for Children patient to attend. To sign up and receive a link, RSVP by Sept. 30 to HIScoliosisTeam@shrinenet.org.
